iPhone 5 vs iPhone 4S thickness

A couple of more images showing the difference in thickness between the current generation iPhone 4S and the alleged next generation iPhone 5, due to be released in September of 2012.

As you can see from the top image, the iPhone 5 is about 1mm thinner than the current generation iPhone 4S. Also in the picture, a new speaker and microphone grill can be seen, as well as the new -much smaller- 9 pin dock connector.

The 2nd pictures shows a much more primitive version of the iPhone 5, probably an early prototype, judging from the mission dock connector and the 3.5 mm headphone jack chrome rings.

But again, the difference in thickness can easily be observed. The new iPhone 5 looks about 1mm thinner than the current-gen iPhone 4S.

Finally, the 3rd images compares the two iPhones from the side. A new white stainless steel band can be observed, as well as a smaller mute button.

New iPad mini PICTURES LEAK!

So here it is! The fist genuine -at least I hope so- images of the new iPad mini

In case you aren't a tech addict like myself  and you haven't heard of the -alleged new iPad mini due to be released later this year- than I'll sum it up for you in a few words:

Basically Apple is selling a single tablet at the moment: the iPad. Yeah, of course that they have 3 different models -the iPad 1, 2 and the new one (3)- but basically only the 3rd generation is the current one. Unlike Samsung who's released a tablet every single month, Apple is releasing one only once a year.

The latest generation iPad, which is called "The New iPad" for some reason, instead of "The iPad 3", was released back in March 2012.

Due to the huge success of 7 inch tables such as the the Amazon Kindle Fire, the new 7 inch NOOK tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and so on, Apple decided to release their own 7 inch tablet and call it an "iPad mini". -at the moment the iPad's screen measure a whooping 9.7 inches in diagonal-

So here you go, a couple of the alleged iPad mini photos features the shell of what is said to be the Apple's next 7 inch tablet.

Again, I do not know for sure if those casings are actually genuine, but to be honest, they do seem pretty genuine to me, so I decided to share them to you.

New Apple 9 pin Dock Connector to USB cable LEAK!

The new Apple 9 pin Dock Connector to USB cable -said to be included in the next gen iPhone- has now been leaked!

As you can see from the image above, Apple has decided to cut loose the almost 12 year old 30 pin Dock Connector and introduce a much smaller one: a 9 pin Dock Connector to USB cable

The main advantage of having a smaller Dock Connector cable is that Apple can now produce even thinner devices, since a smaller form factor cable requires less space than the old 30 pin one. However, the difference is not that noticeable.

The next gen Apple devices might be about 1mm thinner thanks to this newer dock connector cable, which might not seem a lot for an iPad, but believe me....the difference in thickness will be huge when comparing an old 30 pin iPhone with a new 9 pin one. Not to mention how thin will the newer iPods be, with these smaller dock connectors. I mean...they are hair thin even now, so I guess that Apple is soon going to make them almost invisible!

iPhone 5 accessories LEAK!

iLounge has published a couple of pictures of what are said to be the upcoming iPhone 5 accessories.

As you can see from the image above, the accessories features the new 9 pin dock connector that is supposed to be included in the next generation iPhone.

The 2nd accessory in the image, appears to be some sort of charger with 2 usb ports (probably for charging two Apple devices at the same time). Also, judging from the wall outlet, this appears to be an accessory made for the US only.

So, I guess that Europe/Asia accessories will be coming later this year or probably even in early 2013, while the US only accessories might be available  a couple of days after the next generation's iPhone release.

Inside the box you can a 512mb (not GB :D ) mini SD card, a USB cable to sync your phone and finally a charger (one of the smallest on the market back in '06).
